剧情梗概：
奶奶（谭艾珍饰）生活在城市，爷爷（陈慧楼饰）生活在农村，起先，三个小鬼头跟着奶奶居住，之后遭到了爷爷的反对。爷爷和奈奈决定通过比武来决定三个孩子的去向，最终，机智的奶奶获得了胜利，三个孩子也得以留在台湾。一次偶然中，失意的爷爷在路上遇到了曾经的好友，两人结伴前往武馆看人打擂台。很快，爷爷就发现，黑恶势力早已经渗透了武馆。黑道老大金彪邀请爷爷来打擂台，因为和孙子分离感到十分失意的爷爷同意了。爷爷的对手是一个身强体壮的大力士，但仍然不敌爷爷，然而金彪在爷爷的水中放了毒药，很快，中毒的爷爷就占了下风。当奶奶赶到时，爷爷已经不见踪影，生死未卜。剧情版本二：小随奶奶在都市定居,却遭爷爷反对,爷奶二人争执不下,决定以老方法--比武决定,决斗日,奶奶以智取胜,三小欢喜能留在台北玩耍,谁知奶奶竟是要他们上学,三小以奶奶之关系进入一名校就读。爷怅而离家散步,不意巧遇故时好友,而随之进酒馆看人打擂台。擂台实由一帮恶人控制,藉以诈赌,由金彪带头,金手下和爷起冲突,金见爷功夫了得,遂邀爷打擂台,爷想可以此证实己非无能之辈,遂答应下来与大力士比武,比武日,三小潜进酒馆替爷加油,谁知金使诈,下毒于水中,爷爷不支,现场大乱,三小也与歹徒混战一场,虎奔回告知奶奶,奶前往却发觉爷已失踪,生死未卜,三小见歹人作恶,意欲替爷报仇除恶,于是再练爷爷之特技和大力士挑战,大力士被金下毒手后才向三小吐露出金之总部,三人遂打进总部为民除害,爷查出金以往之江湖恩怨后又出现,众人联力,打败恶人,扭送法办学。
