作为全世界分布最广、最成功的蝴蝶之一，小红蛱蝶每年都会进行大陆间的漫长迁徙之旅。在非洲摩洛哥的3月末，小红蛱蝶在这里完成繁衍后向北迁徙，顶着恶劣天气穿过地中海，在5月经过法国，然后在6月初7月末抵达英国，一些蝴蝶甚至会趁着天气仍然温暖时继续向北部进发。一路上，一些蝴蝶因为各种原因会选择不再继续前进，只有足够强壮的蝴蝶才会继续迁徙。可是，小红蛱蝶为什么会不远千里从摩洛哥迁徙到中欧和北欧呢？
