剧情梗概：
1858年，美国南北战争前两年。德国赏金猎人金舒尔茨（克里斯托弗瓦尔兹ChristophWaltz饰）从贩奴商人手中买下黑奴姜戈（杰米福克斯JamieFoxx饰），让其重获自由。舒尔茨实则是要把姜戈培养成无法无天的赏金猎人，为其缉拿各种通缉犯以换取报酬。姜戈的唯一条件是：从暴虐的糖果庄园主卡尔文坎迪（莱昂纳多迪卡普里奥LeonardoDiCaprio饰）手中解救出自己的妻子布鲁姆希尔达（凯丽华盛顿KerryWashington饰）。本片是昆汀向1966年由塞吉奥考布西执导的经典意大利西部片《迪亚戈》的致敬之作。鬼才导演痞子昆丁三年磨一剑，继《无耻混蛋》后又一巨制力作。本片延续昆汀一贯低调奢华的风格，处处可见奇思妙想的幽默元素和血腥野性的动作场面，更有强档群戏，豪华卡司，可谓看点十足。《被解放的姜戈》荣获第85届奥斯卡金像奖-最佳原创剧本大奖，克里斯托弗沃尔兹ChristophWaltz则凭借此片荣获最佳男配角。本片同时荣获第85届奥斯卡金像奖最佳影片、最佳摄影和最佳音效剪辑提名。影片花絮《姜戈》的主演弗兰科尼罗也在本片中扮演了一个小角色。莱昂纳多迪卡普里奥在本片中扮演了一个反派，他曾经是《无耻混蛋》里那个冷血德国军官的第一候选人。但是昆汀希望这个角色能说德语，这才留给了克里斯托弗瓦尔兹。而瓦尔兹又在这部电影里扮演了一个角色，和昆汀进行了第二次合作。本片是塞缪尔杰克逊第五次和昆汀合作，前面四次是《低俗小说》、《危险关系》、《杀死比尔2》以及《无耻混蛋》。影片的拍摄周期长达130天，是昆汀耗时最长的单部影片。除掉《名人百态》和《唐的梅子餐厅》这两部电影，这是16年来迪卡普里奥片酬最低的影片。在创作剧本的时候，昆汀心中内定的主演是威尔史密斯。在选角的时候，史密斯的经纪人力劝史密斯接过这个角色，但是史密斯还是拒绝了。后来，昆汀才找来了杰米福克斯主演。这是昆汀第一部不是萨莉孟克担任剪辑师的影片，萨莉孟克在2010年逝世了。而且，这还是昆汀的第一部不是由劳伦斯班德担任制片人的单部影片。虽然影片在片种上是一部西部片，但是昆汀却认为这是一部南部片，因为影片中讲述的故事发生在美国的南部腹地。评论：除了名字以外，有一个很有趣的变化，在舒尔茨医生死之前，Django整个人是很严肃的，时时刻刻都很紧张。舒尔茨医生死了以后，Django仿佛继承了他的个性，杀起人来轻松愉快，话也稠了。导演还怕大家看不出来，专门设计了一场Django骗看守的戏，那一场中Django的台词、动作、兜里的通缉令，都跟舒尔茨医生一模一样。舒尔茨医生对Django的意义，除了解除他的枷锁之外，更重要的是，教给他怎么自由。舒尔茨是一个德国人，还是个牙医。安安稳稳的小日子不过，跑到美国来搏命。随随便便就搞了个黑人当伙伴，还为了这个黑人的老婆以身犯险。最后死也死的十分传奇：他实在是不愿意和讨厌的人握手。叫他破费一万刀可以，逼他握手就不行。《被解救的姜戈》电影海报上那根铁链，与《断锁怒潮》异曲同工，后者正是一部以解救黑奴为题材的作品，而本片铁链后红色的背景更预示着电影中，打断的锁链通往自由之路铺满了血腥。在姜戈回忆与妻子逃出种植园的情节中，背景音乐是六座葛莱美奖提名的新灵魂乐派男歌手亚当汉密尔顿的名曲《自由》，他灵魂式的嗓音，舒适的清新风格配上的却是惨烈的故事。
