剧情梗概：
《秒速5厘米》是由著名导演新海诚导演的于2007年日本地区上映的一部剧情,爱情,动画类型的动画片,由水桥研二近藤好美尾上绫华花村怜美中村优子主演,该片主要讲述了《秒速5厘米》由三个连续短篇组成，片长60分钟左右。故事讲述因为小学毕业而离别的远野贵树和筱原明里两人，对相互抱有好感而时时记挂在心。但由于分别的阻隔只能把这份特别的感情寄予在别处。随着时间的流逝，终于有一天贵树在一个大雪天里决定去找明里，表白自己的内心 故事以描写贵树与明里再会的片段《樱花抄》，以旁人的视点描绘贵树的《宇航员》，以及表现两人精神上彷徨的标题短篇《秒速5厘米》三个部分组成（电影副标题为achainofshortstoriesabouttheirdistance;意为：有关他们之间的距离的连续短篇故事。这是新海诚第三度讨谈距离;问题了）。 在新海诚个人网站上公开的访谈中，当事人如是说：《秒速5厘米》是把一个少年做为轴线来描绘的独立的三部连续短篇动画。时代从1990年代后半到现代的日本，故事发生的地点随着少年的人生的旅程而沿着东京和其它几个地方变迁。作品中没有时下大多数动画中都出现的时髦的SF元素，也鲜有跌宕起伏的情节（言下之意新海诚将抛弃《星之声》中的SF元素，以及《云彼》中扣人心弦的叙事风格）。我们只是尽量坚持实地取景，真实的表现生活。尽管缺少了波澜和戏剧性场面，但作品中同样装满了世间的各种滋味以及生活的美丽。用胶片记录下这些实实在在的场景，使影片看起来就像日常生活般贴近现实。 诚如新海诚在几个月以来的日记中所透露的那样，《秒速5厘米》是一部完全写实的作品，一改他前两部成功之作的路线，摒弃了所有SF元素。似乎逐步回归到早期的《她和她的猫》所包含的生活化的路线。简单来说，影片建立在日常生活之上，以表现人与人心灵间的差距为主题，充满了爱和内涵（注意笔者的措辞，是爱！和！内！涵！）。
