剧情梗概：
周美诗（彭丹）是电台深夜节目夜半无人私语时的节目主持人。一晚，一名自称饿狼的听众来电向她剖白心声，说他憎恨这个世界，而碰着的人又逼使他做魔鬼，于是决意要成为一只冷血无情的魔鬼，他首项行动便是烧毁他出生的那间医院。翌日新闻报告，果然有一医院被人纵火，周认为事有跷蹊于是前往找哥哥的女友差婆（倪淑君），告诉她饿狼的事情，谁知竟被当值的王探长（王敏德）揶揄一番。是夜，饿狼又来电并承认放火是他的所为，更扬言下一步将会炸毁他念书的幼稚园。第二天幼稚园果然发生爆炸，而饿狼更去电台指下一个目标便要干掉周，王授命着手调查此案并负责保护周。而由于周怀疑王是色情狂，因此在寻找凶徒之余惹来不少搅笑场面。翌日新闻报道，果然有一家医院被人纵火发生爆炸。美诗认为事有蹊跷，于是前往警察局找哥哥的女友小柔告诉有关饿狼的事情，谁知竟被主管此案的王警官奚落一番。当夜，饿狼又来电承认爆炸案是他所为，更扬言下一步的目标是他上过的幼稚园，第二天幼稚园果然发生爆炸。于是王警官要求美诗密切配合，但饿狼得知美诗与警方合作后，便威胁美诗下一步将轮到她了。王警官受命调查此案并负责保护美诗，他们这对欢喜冤家，开始时虽彼此无好印象，但最终相互产生了爱慕之情。几经周折，饿狼终于在电台台庆晚会上原形毕露。

Zhou Meishi (Peng Dan) is the host of the show when there is no one whispering in the middle of the night in the middle of the night.
