剧情梗概：
吴彦祖扮演骑摩托的孙悟空，是一位骁勇的战士，名叫Sunny，讲护送身负重任的少年(唐僧)，寻找传说中的极乐世界。Badlands据称改编自中国的四大名著之一《西游记》（JourneytotheWest），是一部以武术为主题，混杂其他元素的剧集。该剧讲述在一个被封建伯爵统治的国度里，一位伟大的战士和一个小男孩携手踏上旅程，克服重重危机，寻找理想极乐世界的故事。这部Badlands预计将于2015年年底或2016年播出，总共六集。本剧由《超人前传》（Smallville）的编剧及监制阿尔格尔（AlGough）和米尔斯米拉尔（MilesMillar）创作，史黛西舒尔（StaceySher）与迈克尔山姆伯格（MichaelShamberg）担任制片人，武术指导则为中国观众熟悉的吴彦祖（DanielWu）和冯德伦（StephenFung）。EntertainmentOne公司负责国际发行。《荒原》的时代背景是距今数个世纪之后的未来，封建社会出现，财富和权力落在最强势、最冷酷的人手中这块地方被称作荒原，共分成7区，由彼此敌对的贵族控制。他们不仅操控百姓日常生活所需，也依赖名为Clippers的皇家部队来维护政权，Clippers的地位崇高，生活舒适的程度非寻常百姓所能想象。他们为了服侍贵族，赴汤蹈火在所不惜，所以大部分的Clippers都活不过30岁。数十年来奎因Quinn始终高居荒原所有贵族之首，无人敢挑战他的地位，但是新崛起的荒原贵族TheWidow竟开始大胆攻击Quinn的车队。吴彦祖饰演的Sunny就是一位Clippers皇家部队成员，是男爵奎因Quinn的得力助手，一个不停锻炼自己的冷酷杀手，拥有敏锐的战略头脑，临危不乱的气魄和绝对的忠诚度，Sunny小时后被发现时，是一个未着衣物的饥饿孩子，不记得任何关于他的出身或亲生父母的记忆，他从小就让奎因训练长大，十几岁就在Clippers训练，并且在九岁时，他杀了第一个人，从此他杀死了数百条生命，基本上Sunny是在杀戮中长大，他背上的黑线纹身记录了每一次死刑，而Sunny总是孤独一人从没朋友，直到遇见浪漫的医生Veil，让Sunny开启了不同的想法，甚至梦想未来一起远离荒原，在某一次的攻击中，Sunny遇见了死里逃生的少年M.K.，他发现少年藏着巨大秘密们的关系逐渐转变为师徒时，二人也分别发现到存在的真实意义。
