剧情梗概：
大雄在睡梦中通过粉红色的雾走进一个动物王国，里面人人和平相处，科技发达，是真正的乌托邦！原来动物王国是在遥远的星球，而粉红色之雾是来自未来世界的随意气，是可以用来通往遥远的地方！哆啦A梦回到地球后，收到未来动物星球的求救消息，但随意气已经用完，他们该怎么办呢？在这个绿色的动物星球上，都是些爱好和平的动物们。但和动物星的平行星中，却住着贪婪的人类。于是战争又开始了。作品特点该作品是哆啦A梦电影系列中说教性和严肃性较浓的一部作品。（特别是环境问题是人类文明的警钟这一主题）。注入大雄的妈妈加入反对兴建高尔夫球场的居民委员会，大雄妈妈在环境问题上对大雄的说教之类的场面在本作中经常可见。原作中出木杉曾经登场，但在电影版里其没有出现。这是首次出现电影版将原作里的一个登场人物戏份全砍的事情。在先进的污水处理设施、太阳能发电、光的台阶、禁入森林等元素构成了动物行星这个奇妙世界。但是一方面也有评判意见认为这部作品说教味道太过浓厚。该作品的另外一个特点是与原著相比，结尾所用的时间大幅增加（类似的作品还有大雄与银河超特急）。另外，电影版里还提及了高尔夫球场计划最后中止，而原作中则没有提及。与之前的作品‘大雄的日本诞生’一样、该作是少数电影评价高于原作漫画评价的大长篇电影作品。特别是大雄与吉普离别的场面获得了高评价。在动物星球里，到处都可以看见人类世界的影子，动物被高度拟人化，出现了在狗的帮助下找到了迷路的小猫吃了黑羊先生寄的信的白羊先生等著名童话。同时，好不容易可以戴耳朵的哆啦A梦还是被当作狸猫，哆啦A梦因此也非常生气。而之后动物行星里真正的狸猫也显示出对自己身份的自卑，这与现实世界都是相同的。而到电影结束，哆啦A梦也能接受称其为狸猫了。
