电影《Poison(s)》的剧情简介：

Vladimir Putin literally poisoned democracy in Russia. In this riveting investigative series, filmmaker Jennifer Deschamps (Inside Lehman Brothers, 2018), reveals the criminal tactics Putin used to gain absolute power and the lethal force he deploys to maintain it. Beginning with the polonium poisoning of dissident Alexander Litvinenko and the Novichok exposure of double-agent Sergei Skripal in the United Kingdom, the series outlines how Putin baited foreign governments to address his extra-judicial silencing campaign. Undeterred by financial sanctions or the expulsion of diplomats, Putin intensifies his stratagem towards national adversaries. NGO activist Vladimir Kara-Murza describes being poisoned twice by the same FSB squad likely behind the now-infamous in-flight poisoning of opposition candidate Alexei Navalny. Insiders including William Browder, US National Security Advisor John Bolton and US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta corroborate these as Kremlin plots but warn of the real agenda: this true-crime political exposé reframes Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as a prelude to his war against the West.
