Vanguard 2 is an action and war film. During the Vietnam War, Colonel Baroque and several brothers failed in a mission and became prisoners of the Viet Cong. The US government regarded these people as "missing American troops". In the prisoner of war camp, the leader of the Viet Cong, Colonel Yang, continued to brutally abuse the prisoners of war, violating the Geneva Convention, and forced Baroque to sign a document admitting his crime of aggression against Vietnam. He refused to give in even though he was being persecuted. Seeing his brothers being killed one by one, he decided to fight back and escaped from the prisoner of war camp after a narrow escape.
