在这部代号17动画片中,四年级生小翼从小和父亲相依为命，她生性害羞，一直和同学们格格不入。直到有一天晚上，她看到一艘宇宙飞船从天而降，受伤的外星人及惊吓过度的怪兽出现在她眼前。而更神奇的力量也瞬间发生。小翼从此具有超能力转变成破坏力十足的Fifure17,而当她回到小翼的现实身份时，一个和她长得一模一样的小光从此在她身边出现，她们两人都有能力转变成Figure17，于是，她们对抗外星生物的生涯从此开始了……

Moving away from Tokyo and to a much less populated area, the young quiet girl Tsubasa must cope with making new friends. That's when an alien spaceship crash lands in her backyard. With aid from a living armour called a ribers, Tsubasa transforms into a bioandroid named Figure 17 and defeats the alien creature that caused the ship to crash here. The pilot, D.D. (as best as it can be pronounced by humans) thanks the girl and explains that several more of these creatures have escaped his transport ship and now reside across Japan. Upon separation from the ribers, Tsubasa stands face to face with a mirror image of herself, confusing both her and D.D. The ribers seems to have adopted her form instead of returning to its natural state. A very touching story unfurls from this chance meeting...
