"Terror Freighter" is a drama, thriller, and adventure film. German young man Chris (played by Daniel Brühl) plans to travel to Africa, but he is penniless and his passport is detained by the police by mistake. In desperation, he secretly boarded a freighter bound for Africa with a sailor he met in the pub. Chris didn't hide for long on the ship before he was discovered by Captain Brooks (Peter Mullan). The captain admired the young man and asked him to help in the kitchen. Chris and the crew quickly became acquainted, but he found that the others seemed to be hiding something from him, and at this moment, the crew disappeared one after another. While searching for the crew, Chris discovered two African stowaways.
