Part 1
  
This episode looks at the evolution of the predators that lived 550 million years ago, and how the first amphibians migrated from sea to land.


Part 2
  
Three hundred million years ago, the forests were ruled by insects. This was a world in which giant dragonflies battled with two-foot-wide spiders.


Part 3
  
By the late Permian period, a furry, ferret-like mammal had evolved onto two feet, vaguely resembling the human form. Could this be our ancestor?
