Imagine a world coloured by ice and fire, carved by hurricane force winds, weighted by glaciers, carpeted by wildlife perfectly adapted to freezing conditions and winters of perpetual darkness: a world essentially inhospitable to man, still largely unexplored. It is the White Continent... Antarctica.
Imagine now a film that captures this untameable place that combines state-of-the-art High Definition technology with award-winning filmmaking skills: an exceptional documentary and a musical odyssey - the perfect Antarctic DVD souvenir.
Featuring the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia Island and the Falkland Islands, Antarctica Dreaming documents all the major Antarctic and sub-Antarctic animals and their life-cycles over an entire season, and captures the varying climatic and ice conditions from wild white blizzards to fire red sunsets reflected in a glassy sea.
