Exploring its secrets in stunning and intimate detail, Wild Danube is a two-part series which follows the river as it flows from source to sea. From birds to deer to beavers caught digging into riverside gardens to steal fruit, you’ll see the wild side of the river is shown in all its majesty. This river is not just a natural paradise - as it passes through urban areas, see how the Danube’s human and animal inhabitants often come into conflict.

From The Black Forest to the Black Sea
  
The varied wildlife that resides along the river, from its source in Germany's Black Forest to the Ukrainian and Romanian Black Sea coast. Passing through ten countries, the Danube is the most international river in the world and connects a succession of spectacular landscapes.


Forest Flood and Frost
  
The impact of climatic extremes on the river's wildlife, including how they dictate patterns for breeding, hunting and hibernation. As the Danube flows through its various landscapes, it transforms. Floods and drought also affect life on the great river.
