We Will Be Forgotten is a drama and historical film. Hector, who was studying in Italy, received a notice, so he returned to his hometown of Medellin, Colombia to attend his father's retirement ceremony. This film is adapted from the memoir of the same name. Almodóvar's leading actor Javier Camara uses his superb acting skills to create an image of an amiable and respectable father who devotes his life to public health construction and defending citizens' human rights. Spanish all-around director Fernando Trueba, who won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for "My Lover", uses a narrative structure and uses a combination of black and white and color photography to show the turbulent social background of Colombia in the 1970s. The film was selected into the official slate of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival and won the 2021 Spanish Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film. The story about a Colombian writer's father.
