剧情梗概：
1998年《三人世界》後，导演冼杞然再次夥拍原班人马林子祥、郑裕玲和周慧敏拍摄续作《三人新世界》，并加入了影后张曼玉及人见人爱的童星小柏林(郑柏林)。冼杞然执导的《三人新世界》电影所发生的地方跨越地域，续集更走到巴黎取景。影片主题有别于90年代的黑帮及动作主导的作品，当中的电影主角衣着和言谈举止都有港式中产的格调。继第一集因怨家而成爱侣，Alex(林子祥饰)和朱丽娥(郑裕玲饰)本来计划在新年之後结婚，他们本想趁着新年假期过着温馨的两人世界。但是，广告公司急召Alex回公司筹备新工作。此时，Alex巧遇男仔头女同事Joe，两人後被派往巴黎公干。朱丽娥受表哥煽动，便飞往巴黎实地勘查。之後，朱丽娥和Joe势成水火，更和Alex闹翻。最後，朱丽娥逼Alex表态，令Alex不知所措由冼杞然导演，林子祥与郑裕玲主演的《三人世界》，在推出面世时相当叫好叫座，因为此片是首次以清新自然的面貌来呈现都市雅痞感情生活的新尝试，在当时一片低俗胡闹的港片中显得鹤立鸡群。本片则是由原班人马拍摄的续集，风格大致沿袭前作，但加多了不少较通俗的双关语，而且把女主角朱丽娥的个性弄得更小家子气兼无理取闹，整体看来成绩稍逊上集。剧情描述林子祥做事的广告公司来了个新导演张曼玉，两人不打不相识，成为工作上的好搭档，不料却引起郑裕玲的疑心，甚至在林，张二人到巴黎拍广告片时跟了去法国从旁监督。另一方面，林子祥的表哥许绍雄离了婚，带着两个顽皮的儿女回港寄住林家，甚至在他家找妓女，因而又引出了不少误会。最后当然是会误会冰释，但编导对误会的产生与解决都处理得比较夸张和牵强，失去了上集那种清淡的韵味。
