剧情梗概：
三集迷你剧《索恩医生》（DoctorThorne）由《唐顿庄园》创作人JulianFellowes开发，TomHollander在剧中扮演标题人物ThomasThorne医生。他和年轻的侄女Mary（StefanieMartini）一起住在巴塞特郡的小村庄Greshamsbury。Mary是Thomas的哥哥Henry和贵族女孩Mary的私生女。Mary的哥哥RogerScatcherd爵士（IanMcShane）是有名的铁路大亨，他从来就不同意她和Henry的婚事，更不会认Mary这个私生女。Mary具有许多天赋，就是没有钱。Mary从小和Gresham姐妹及其英俊的哥哥Frank（HarryRichardson）一起长大，他们在Greshamsbury公园里有一座当地最豪华的庄园。当AranellaGresham夫人（RebeccaFront）发现宝贝儿子竟然爱上了Mary，这把她吓坏了。她的丈夫FrancisGresham（RichardMcCabe）花光了所有的家庭财富，唯有依靠Thorne医生帮助他从RogerScatcherd爵士那里借钱度日。Arabella夫人坚信他的儿子娶一个富婆才是挽救家族庄园的最佳途经，于是四处寻找女继承人来给儿子当新娘。美国来的女继承人MarthaDunstable小姐（AlisonBrie）很快成为Aranella夫人的目标。在弟媳（PhoebeNicholls）和侄女（KateO’Flynn）的帮助下，Aranella夫人决定展开行动。GwynethKeyworth、CressidaBonas、DannyKirrane、JanineDuvitski和TomBell参与演出。

When Rebeccafront found that the baby son fell in love with Mary, she was frightened.
