剧情梗概：
《星际之门》是由罗兰艾默里奇执导，詹姆斯斯派德、库尔特拉塞尔、艾利希斯克鲁兹、韦薇卡琳德佛斯主演的科幻片。影片讲诉美国军方在地球的某处发现了一个奇怪的圆环可以进行空间旅行，军方小队一起穿越这星际之门进入另外一个世界探险的故事。考古学者丹尼尔杰克逊博士对古埃及象形文字颇有研究，对金字塔是谁建造的也有他的一套理论，但是很多人对他的观点不屑一顾，为了寻找有力的证据，丹尼尔毅然决定和政府派遣的以杰克欧尼尔上校为首的军方小分队一起到达可以连通两个世界的所谓星际之门。他们要穿过这个门而进入法老传说中的神话世界。临行前，凯瑟琳将小时候捡到的一条雷之眼挂链交给他，说这会给他带来好运。丹尼尔和小分队穿过星际之门，却发现这里只是一个荒漠的采矿区，他们想法与采矿人交流，当那些人看到丹尼尔脖子上挂的雷之眼挂链时，立刻全体跪拜，原来这挂链在这里是神的象征。丹尼尔结识了一个名叫舒瑞的美丽姑娘，找到了记载当地历史的文字。上面记载着：远方星球一个叫雷的人逃离濒临灭亡的家园，到银河系寻求长生之道，终于在地球发现了人类，雷利用一个男孩的好奇心，附在他的身上，有了人形后，雷自称太阳神，他利用星际之门把地球上的人弄到这里做奴隶。地球发生暴乱，星际之门被埋葬。雷害怕这里也会暴乱，就禁止人们读书写字，不让人们知道真相。雷知道地球上来了一队人马时，想利用小分队带来准备炸毁星际之门的炸弹将地球毁灭。觉醒的人们和小分队一起抗争太阳神。太阳神大势已去准备逃跑，这时炸弹爆炸，炸毁了太阳神的金字塔飞船。星际之门的人们重新获得了自由。
