剧情梗概：
《外星邻居TheNeighbors》和《游侠笑传Galavant》的创作人DanFogelman和老牌喜剧明星RickSinger（《美国老爹AmericanDad！》）合作制作一部新剧《掷出青春Pitch》。这部新剧的想法来自Singer，讲述了一个年轻的女投手不顾性别上的差别对待而成为了第一个进入职业棒球赛的女选手的故事。而女主角也找到了，由《扭曲的青春Twisted》的KylieBunbury饰演。Singer和Fogelman将会联合执笔本剧，也会与TonyBill和HelenBartlett联合制作。该剧有美国职业棒球大联盟提供协助。KylieBunbury饰演Ginny，成为第一位在美国职业棒球大联盟的女性选手，位置是投手。Mark-PaulGosselaar饰演女主的队友MikeLawson，他是个英俊﹑有魅力﹑自信自己能成为的美国职棒名人堂中的一员，位置是捕手。场外受女性爱慕，场内则散发领导的气质，他不知道如何界定与Ginny之间的火花，尽管一开始他对女主抱持怀疑，但还是给予指导，并在不久后为「球队安定度」给出新的定义。AliLarter饰演AmeliaSlater，是个时髦﹑自信的人，她是女主的形象顾问，并且有着「导师」及「保护者」的身份。该角原本由ElisabethShue饰演。MarkConsuelos饰演Oscar，是球队总经理及总裁，前球手的他想为Ginny给予被欢迎的感觉，并处理女性选手带来的特殊问题。因为他关系到球队的成败，因此希望女主在首秀能成功。DanLauria饰演AlSciutto，希望头发灰，但仍然是个稳重的经理。MoMcRae饰演全明星赛选手Blip，是个说得跟跑的一般快的外野手，是Ginny未加入职棒前，在棒球界里的唯一朋友。Blip在队中犹如她的兄长，希望令她在场中有家的感觉。MeaganHolder饰演Evelyne，Blip的妻子，是Ginny的老朋友；她知道女主备受庞大压力，她为女主减压的方式是调杯血腥玛丽，与她进行闺蜜私房话。TimJo饰演Eliot，是个笨拙，令人尴尬，但熟稔社交媒体的经理，在Ginny成为名人后处理她的网上形象。BobBalaban饰演循环角色FrankReid，是球队的老板，富有﹑迷人﹑明智。
