剧情梗概：
辛苦打工赚钱的高尼（曹承佑饰）工资低微，但性格好强的他不甘于贫穷。有一天，他输光了所有的钱，发现被老千所耍。气愤的他去理论，遇到了老千高手平京长（白润植饰），为了学到高超的赌术，高尼费尽心思拜平京长为师，并保证赢回一定数额就洗手不干。终于，学有所成的高尼出山后，开始了老千生涯。最初他是想把输掉的钱赢回来，但是人的欲望是没有止境的，他违背了当初许下的承诺，同时他的出色赌技引起了美女郑老板（金惠秀饰）的赏识，并与另一位老千开始了合作。一轮又一轮的赌局中，高尼迎来了生死之战。幕后花絮：该片是崔东勋执导的第二部影片。为了演绎出色的老千角色，演员们在影片拍摄前学习韩国花投牌，在真正的老千张炳云那里进行了严格的训练。在电影中的拍档刘海振和曹承佑，在片中显得十分活跃，人物性格给人以风风火火的感觉，而在戏外却都是慢吞吞的慢性格。赌场布景制作组用了一年多的时间去作业，经过了仔细的时代背景调查，最后诞生了塑料房、仓库、密室、船舶等赌场。该片因为涉及了赌博世界，所以18岁以上才能观看。电影评价：曹承佑的表演还是保持着旧有水准，主要是高尼这个人物自身的致命缺陷，而且几度出生入死委实太漫画式了。个人不认为他的表现有巨大突破或者超越过往，比之《马拉松》，当然比其他年轻男星还是好上太多。韩国演员的夸张式表演估计又会让部分国人难受，习惯了就行。比之他赌术（千术）的翻云覆雨，郑老板所起的关键作用更为左右结局，说来也就黑吃黑三字。想看崔东勋导演的这部《老千》已经很久了，为止，前段时间恶补了一下他之前的那部《汉城大劫案》，看完直呼过瘾。类似《普通嫌疑犯》让人眼花缭乱的叙事结构，将复仇这一主题和人性的阴暗面表现得淋漓尽致。而《老千》，则将崔东勋导演功力发挥得更为淋漓尽致。
