剧情梗概：
1943年10月，美国海军在费城进行了一次人工强磁场的机密试验，即着名的费城实验（ThePhiladelphiaExperiment），实验成功地将一艘驱逐舰及全体船员投入另一空间。在实验过程中，实验人员啟动脉衝和非脉衝器，使船只周围形成了一个巨大的磁场。随后整条船被一团绿光笼罩着，船只和船员也开始从人们的视线中消失。实验终止时，舰船已被移送到了479公里以外的诺福克（Norfolk）...其孙女试图重振世界战争II费城实验。衍生产品：费城实验的结果虽然不被承认，但却常成为各类书籍、电视系列剧、电影和电脑游戏的题材。费城实验的故事曾在1984年时被拍成电影《消失的1943》（ThePhiladelphiaExperiment），描述两名参与费城实验的舰上水手时光跳跃到40年后的内华达沙漠中之故事。美国电视系列剧《X档案》（TheX-Files）其中一集《DødKalm》描述戏中的男女主角FBI特别探员福克斯穆德（FoxMulder）和黛娜史卡利（DanaScully）被告知有一艘美国海军军舰造成船员年龄急遽老化的，Mulder相信这是跟费城实验的失败有关。《我和僵尸有个约会》系列电视剧作者陈十三在其以僵尸为背景的小说《天涯传说》中，也有提及过费城实验，指战舰和其船员在时间空间中漂浮，故会突然出现和消失。故事中天佑科研老板况复生重现一次费城实验，将战舰从时空中捕获并真正带返现世，用来将瑶池圣母困住并流放到时间空间。香港乐队Kolor第一首无线电视冠军歌《费城实验》以费城实验作背景，收录在专辑《变》。在1989年的日本漫画《轰天高校生》（スプリガン）忘却王国篇章之中提到，费城实验中所用的埃尔德里奇号在移动到英国后再次移动到幽灵岛上。岛上的超古代文明所遗留下来的金字塔遗迹具有在时间与空间中移动的功能，埃尔德里奇号受其影响才移动到幽灵岛上的。电影评价：演员中规中矩，后来才发现他是有前传的，但是基于续集不好看，再考虑要不要看前传。故事是莫名失踪于1943年的船引出的，时空穿梭的题材电影很多了，从《阿凡达》《源代码》还有最近这么火热的穿越剧来看，这种科学题材的有些偏于军事为主导了，一个看起来无敌的漂亮女上司，那么冷血还强势，最后估计被shot了吧，手底下动不动会动用飞机导弹还有核武器，这远不如生化危机来的好看呢。有些无厘头的血腥，故事其实很简单，但是太简单了，简直谁都可以上天入地了，而且结局太完美了。后半我一直在笑啊，怎么办。他们其实打开了蠕虫洞改写了历史/造出了黑洞，地球也被吸了进去，在里面开创新纪元。这又是在给费城实验抹黑吧。麦克道威尔出场10分钟就挂了，基友真不领情。
