《越线》成为2008年度最值得期待的艺术影片之一。该片刚刚公映不久，至今已经摘取四项国际大奖。LinhadePasse以乱世之都的圣保罗为背景，跟踪底层社会一家同母异父四个兄弟和单身母亲的日常生活轨迹，表现巴西现实社会的诸多问题：宗教、暴力、犯罪、种族歧视、单亲家庭...影片讲述这个贫困的国家带给人们的无助和绝望，描述穷人不甘却无力的挣扎和求生的艰难。　　影片讲述一个工人家庭在足球王国巴西的艰难生活。中心人物是一位单身母亲，人到中年，有四个儿子，还有一个即将呱呱坠地。三个儿子快要成年。大儿子达里奥（德·奥利维拉deOliveira扮演，曾经出演过《中央车站》），颇具足球天赋，正在面临人生的关键转折。但他已经年满18岁，被认为起步太晚，培养前途不大。丹尼斯（巴德斯尼Baldasserini扮演）是个风流浪子，很讨人喜欢，有了女朋友，还是一个男婴的爸爸。他的工作是邮差，每天骑着电单车风驰电掣，非常危险。老二狄奥是个狂热的五旬节派教徒，整天埋头加油站工作不问家事。小弟弟雷吉纳尔多（桑托斯扮演）和几个哥哥都不一样，心心念着要去找素未谋面的父亲，一位黑人公车司机。
