剧情梗概：
1950年，韩战爆发。不同的政体，使同一个民族的鲜血洒满朝鲜半岛。在某个与世隔绝的角落，老斤里村的人民过着日出而作，日落而息的田园生活。时间缓缓流逝，怡然欢快的气氛弥漫四周。然而这份恬淡最终被战争的魔爪打破，传说美军将来此地驻军，村民们被迫向汉城迁徙。他们一路奔波，却没来由遭到美军飞机的轰炸和美国大兵的机枪扫射，无辜与年轻的生命纷纷凋谢，血腥的一刻从此写进历史本片源自真实历史事件，并根据美联社记者联合撰写的《老斤里桥》及幸存者郑银勇的回忆录《你可知道我们的痛》改编。据悉屠杀期间有500名左右韩国民众遭到杀害。影片反映了1950年韩国300多名无辜平民遭美军屠杀的老斤里事件，根据美联社记者以及幸存者的回忆录改编，历经八年制作才得以上映。1950年7月处在韩国战争初期。位于韩半岛中界线的大门石村村民正在筹备盛大的歌咏比赛。这些村民朴实善良，与世无争，只沉浸于自己的一亩三分地昔，日出而作日落而息。战事的蔓延打破了乡村的宁静，战败的美军前线移到了这里。为了躲避战事，村民们不得不进行疏散。逃难的路上，村民们坚信会得到美军的庇护，在7月炙热的太阳下艰难地南下前行。然而，与这种信任相悖，村民的头顶不但落下了炮弹，守在防御阵地的美军更把枪口对准了这些手无寸铁的无辜村民
