剧情梗概：
红色行动队员奉上级领导的指示，将因为买粮遭拒而被错误绑架的地主公子赵书林送回盘龙镇的家。起初，满脑子理想主义的书林对红军充满成见，认为红军是流氓土匪，和行动队员矛盾重重。但在被真土匪绑架后，多亏行动队员及时解救，双方冰释前嫌，成为好朋友。　　书林回家后，赵家又受到国民党军官袁排长的一再敲诈。一心想救国救民的赵书林书生气十足还对国民政府充满幻想，想通过法律道义的理论来保护自己的利益，结果被诬陷通共，饱受折磨。行动队员潜入盘龙镇，一面设法获得换防的国民党军队的作战计划，另一面积极设法营救书林……，经过几番斗智斗勇的较量，书林得救，情报到手，罪恶的袁排长被行动队员击毙，可书林的父亲和未婚妻却惨死敌手。人生的悲剧使书林终于彻底醒悟，认定只有共产党才能救中国，毅然加入了革命的洪流之中。
