剧情梗概：
云南西北山区，崇山峻岭，层峦叠嶂，十多个少数民族零星散落于大山中，过着平静而质朴的生活。五十多岁的老冯（李保田饰）是县上的法官，为了解决山区村民之间的纠纷，他们每隔一段时间就牵着马匹、驮着国徽穿行于寨与寨之间，组成了一个奇特而庄严的流动法庭。　　这次的行程共有三人，摩梭族书记员杨阿姨（杨亚宁饰）是跟老冯合作多年的搭档，如今退休离开工作岗位，此次正是他们最后一次合作；彝族大学生阿洛（吕玉来饰）接替杨阿姨的位置，书卷气极浓的他与经验丰富的老冯格格不入，这一趟既是他的首次工作尝试，也是他的新婚之旅。蜿蜒曲折的山路上，留下他们几多喜乐辛酸……　　本片荣获63届威尼斯国际电影节地平线最佳影片
