剧情梗概：
有如秘境一般的荒郊野外，逡巡着一个有些落寞的中年垂钓者。他的生活一团混乱，老婆早先离家出走，女儿也患病在身。已过而立之年，却一事无成，俨然一个人生的完败者。他在岸边支起数根钓鱼竿，静静地等待鱼儿的上钩，然后恶狠狠地将它们切成块。太阳西垂，男人似乎没有返家的打算，依然故我地带在这片无人所在。突然，似有鱼儿咬钩，他奋力扯线，拼得精疲力竭，结果发现扯上来的竟是一具女尸（李贞贤饰）。男人惊恐万分，想要摆脱反被鱼线将他和女尸紧紧缠绕。不久女尸活转过来，惊魂未定的男人又不得不经历一次无常轮回的生离死别本片采用IPone4拍摄，并荣获2011年柏林国际电影节最佳短片奖。剧情版本二：诡异的雾气笼罩着丛林，一个哼着小曲的男人从远处走来。这是一个垂钓爱好者，来到惯常垂钓的江边，悠闲地开始钓鱼。时间一分一秒过去，男人渐渐有些厌倦，正在此时，他突然发现好像钓着了什么东西，鱼竿的一头有明显的重物坠感。然而，并不是什么意外的惊喜，他钓上来的居然是一个浑身素缟的妙龄女子。这一奇遇着实把男人吓了一跳。女人的身体和鱼线纠缠在一起，男人面色发青，越想将线从女子身上解开，线却反而缠得更紧。挣扎中，女人的脚突然压住男人的后颈，后者惨叫一声，随后昏厥过去。不知过了多久，男人穿着原先女子的素缟沉睡过去，女子则穿上了男人的衣服，将他叫醒。男人挺身而起，混乱中想探明究竟。谁知，女子用孩童般的声音对男人叫道：爸爸韩国著名导演朴赞郁与苹果手机合作，用iPhone4拍摄的30分钟短片，是一部超现实恐怖题材。影片取名波澜万丈意指生活中的起起伏伏，讲述男主人公讲在钓鱼场钓起一名妙龄女子之后发生的故事。朴赞郁表示这相比于拍摄经过严格实现计划的电影是一次全新的体验。甚至是一个不经意的下意识的镜头也会带来惊喜。仿佛更多了许多选择。电影评价：别以为朴赞郁在片场从头到尾都举着iPhone4狂拍，实际上这两台iPhone4在剧组工作人员的手中，已被武装得十分强大：需要拍摄些全景、远景时，两台iPhone4被安装在专业的轨道、升降机上，以便最大限度、最灵活地取景。只有在近景和特写镜头时，朴赞郁才徒手拿着iPhone4贴近演员拍摄。而为了实现夜间摄影、水下摄影，工作人员还在iPhone4上用配适器安装了佳能高感光镜头，这解释了《波澜万丈》的画面为什么如此平稳、画质如此清晰、而且还有黑白效果和水下镜头。另外，所有的拍摄素材经过了专业剪辑和CG特效处理，一共用了90天的制作周期。本部电影属于非线性叙事，何为非线性叙事，就是不是按照时间发展的顺序来讲诉故事的。非线性叙事也不可以简简单单的说是插叙或者倒叙，而是一种打破常规时间叙事的手段。
