剧情梗概：
他从天窗掉下来，是天使？还是魔鬼？穿皮衣的乔治（丹尼尔.克雷格饰），不过是一个小偷，他潜入了画家弗朗西斯.培根（德里克.雅克比饰）画室。正在翻箱倒柜的时候，培根叫住了他，把他带到了床上。小偷跟画家的共同生活就此开始。乔治开始作为培根的绘画模特兼情人，出现在大大小小的场合。来到一个艺术展，培根跟乔治对着那些作品指指点点；来到一个裁缝家里，培根为乔治定做了一件衣服；他们来到一个酒吧，听那些人说着污言秽语，培根把乔治介绍给他们；他们也会出席正式的交际场合，跟那些艺术家们热烈的讨论着当下的艺术创作。这些艺术家们的创作都充满了个性，譬如有个摄影师喜欢拍女人的裸体。培根的创作则有过之而无不及，他似乎有嗜血的特性，在观看一场拳击比赛之后，他幻想着那些血喷溅到他的脸上。在画作中，他展示自己难以抑制的恐惧。沾满鲜血的身体时常出现在他的梦魇中。培根的作品，其实也是在血液、精液，欢乐、恐惧中创作的。他不停的需要不同的刺激。他看着乔治静静地睡去，醒来又打扮好自己去参加各种刺激的晚会；他与乔治的享受也有着与众不同的追求，乔治的皮鞭和烟头给了培根痛感，同时也感受到了双向的快感。可是和谐的关系并没有持续很久。乔治开始变得神经脆弱，酒精、毒品成了他生命的必需品。培根望着被乔治弄得乱七八糟的画室，烦躁无比。他们一同参加了一个赌场聚会，培根带一个男孩去了家里。乔治在沙发上醒来，回到家里，歇斯底里的喊叫着让培根给他开门，却遭到拒绝。依旧一同出席各种场合，但是他们已经貌合神离。乔治备受折磨，噩梦不断。他开始用自己的孩子气展开抱复，把毒品藏在培根的画室而引来警察，惹上麻烦……培根决定把乔治送走。旅馆里，精神恍惚的乔治爬上楼顶，险些自杀。乔治最终还是自杀了，死在一场车祸中。他的身下，是一颗颗晶莹的玻璃碎片，额头上的大窟窿，甚是恐怖。但是毋庸置疑，在弗朗西斯·培根的眼中，血液和人体在一起，是美的。培根的画展在巴黎开幕了，他平静地游走在应酬晚会上，周旋与众人之间。但是内心里，他不免开始怀念乔治。
