剧情梗概：
肥肥胖胖的阿祥（郑则仕饰）是一家瓦斯店的老板，他为人和善，乐观宽厚，拥有美丽的娇妻和可爱的女儿，生活美满幸福。某天他中途回家，却发现老婆和人通奸。阿祥虽然愤怒非常，却因性格关系自吞苦果。阿祥泡吧借酒浇愁，跟舞女Fanny（关咏荷饰）大吐苦水，结果稀里糊涂地通过她聘请越南帮的杀手杀掉那对奸夫淫妇。次日阿祥酒醒回家，却早已忘记雇用杀手之事，于是眼睁睁地看着老婆和奸夫被人砍死。阿祥的噩梦尚未就此结束，他还面临着越南帮所要的高额酬金。情急之下，阿祥出逃广州，并在此遇到心狠手辣的乌鼠（任达华饰）。乌鼠答应带领手下帮阿祥解决越南帮的问题，此举却让阿祥的生活彻底堕向万劫不复剧情版本二：邓衍成导演，郑则仕、任达华、李修贤等主演。祥是一瓦斯店老板，他于结婚纪念日当天无意中撞见爱妻与男人在家中通奸，性格檽弱的他竟不发一句怒言，只是独安闲酒吧里以酒浇愁。醉后的祥迷糊地聘请越南帮首领-生为他谋杀奸夫淫妇，当祥回家后，却已把买凶杀人之事忘得一干二净。二名杀手果然前来刺杀，生要胁祥交出委讬金，祥情急之下，逃至广州避难。在广州他又结识乌鼠帮首领－华。华自荐为解决越南帮，一场大战后，华逼祥交出二佰万以作为乌鼠帮弟兄伤亡赔偿。祥又逃命天边。华因找不到祥，便挟持祥母，警方接到线报前往围捕乌鼠，华为求脱身，竟当众杀害祥母，祥大受打击，疯狂的祥似乎已没有痛楚及害怕的感觉，他奋勇打败乌鼠帮......
