剧情梗概：
JasonCreed（JoshuaClose）和一帮朋友正在森林中拍摄一部恐怖电影时，从广播上得知了死去又会活来的活死人的新闻，他们行动如僵尸，数目正如瘟疫般在迅速扩大。另一位导演TonyRavello（ShawnRoberts）坚持认为这不过是媒体在制造新闻，但多数人都感觉到凉意正从背后袭来。胆小的男主角Ridley（PhilipRiccio）率先逃往不远处自家的别墅后，一帮人跟着Jason的女友Debra（MichelleMorgan）开车去她的家。上路没多久，他们便遇上恐怖事件，慢慢地，随着眼睛所见（世纪末景象之外，身边的伙伴变作活死人），包括Tony在内的所有人都完全相信了活死人正遍布这个世界的每一个角落，想办法自救成为他们认为的第一重要的事。然而Jason坚持不肯放下摄影机，他认为记录所看到的真相比保命更重要，媒体所发布的新闻都是在政府的操控下经过编辑的结果（隐瞒数目与尽可能延后发布），即便真相更为恐怖，大众也有权利知道，于是他每日把拍到的影像放到BLOG，哪怕举动不得Debra和其他伙伴的理解也在所不惜。二故事的主人公是一群电影学院的学生，他们打算自费拍摄一部恐怖片，没想到在森林里进行拍摄的时候，碰到了可怕的事，他们自己倒成了恐怖片的主角一群电影学院的大学生来到森林拍摄丧尸片，可没想到却遇见了真正的丧尸，他们自己倒成了恐怖片的主角，在逃命途中不幸被武装团伙绑架挟持，后来虽侥幸脱险来到城市中，但这里已经变成了死城。他们只能向郊区好友求助，然而等待他们的却是暴风雨一般的灾难罗大师所拍摄的片子不用过多评价，全片都在用镜头说话，非常真实，罗大师用他高超的技术把片子拍的栩栩如生，而且综合了黎明与出笼的优点摄制完成。ss迷必看佳作！影片花絮在影片警察在记者招待会上用一尊雕像来躲避巫毒崇拜者的攻击，这尊雕像雕刻的对象是乔治A罗梅罗本人。在影片中出现的戏中戏式的纪录片的名字叫做《死亡之死》（TheDeathofDeath）。《死亡之死》同时也是罗梅罗为DCComics的巫毒崇拜者系列所拍摄的四集电视剧集短片的名字。影片23天就完成了拍摄，典型的罗梅罗速度。
