剧情梗概：
在未来，邪恶的天网率领着宇宙大军想要统治地球，司徒乐率领人类顽强抵抗，天网的部队节节败退。为了扭转局势，天网派出大量怪兽回到过去，誓要把司徒乐扼杀在童年时期。在屡屡失败之后天网决定亲自回去收拾司徒乐一行人。天网设下圈套，把司徒乐和钢铁飞龙送进《山海经》中的异世界，并驾驶亲手打造的机械山海怪兽，对司徒乐他们发动猛攻。孤立无援之际，司徒乐和钢铁飞龙从《山海经》残页中发现了一股神秘的力量，并在这股力量的帮助下召唤出了全新的山海神兽机甲。面对险象环生的山海世界，司徒乐和钢铁飞龙驾驶着全新的神兽机甲，一次次击退了天网的怪兽，踏上了漫漫回家之路。乐乐与扶桑一战，出现了与现实世界中，跟丁佳宜极为相似的角色，危急情况下，救下乐乐，并触发了某种能量，让钢铁飞龙5个机器人成功合体。打败扶桑的同时，也为下半部的故事发展留下悬念。
