《莫斯科大事件/新闻制造者》是由著名导演内详导演的于2009年欧美地区上映的一部犯罪惊悚动作类型的动作片,由叶甫盖尼·茨冈诺夫谢尔盖·加尔马什玛莉亚·马斯高娃安德烈·马斯连基主演,该片主要讲述了故事发生在莫斯科，一伙匪徒在抢劫现金时与警方引发激烈的枪战，然而警方接连受挫遭到重创，正巧有一个电视摄制组人员在现场用摄像机记录下了整个过程。这一事件经过电视台的报道迅速成为头条新闻，全市哗然，令警方形象大大受损。　　为了重整士气，塑造新形象，莫斯科警局决定公开追捕和摧毁这伙罪犯的全过程，因而警局公关处的女警员卡佳提议将这场抓捕匪徒的行动进行电视直播，这将是前所未有的创新之举。追查这一绑匪的是生性固执、不接受任何强加规则的刑侦员斯米尔诺夫和他手下的刑侦组。这伙匪徒此时被包围在一栋大楼里，挟持着一个父亲及其两个孩子三名人质。虽然周围部署了大量警力但仍然于事无补。　　面对重重挫折，卡佳带领其团队重新剪辑了录像以便制造出胜利的假象。正是由于通过电视看到了这组画面，绑匪老大赫尔曼才想到要另谋出路。然而，卡佳没有预料到的是绑匪会竟然利用手机和互联网进行现场直播，让外界了解另一种不受控制的事件实时现场。　　至此，警方与匪徒双方展开的是一场没有硝烟的信息大战，谁能幸存下来，谁才是最后的赢家，结果终会水落石出。　　俄罗斯版《大事件》由瑞典导演安德斯班克（AndersBanke）执导，班克在莫斯科的电影学院念书，并且能够讲一口流利的俄语，他曾经导演《致命吸血鬼》，正是这部电影中透出的才华让俄罗斯制片公司看中，选择其拍摄《大事件》，这也是俄罗斯第一次翻拍香港电影。从公布的剧照、预告片来看，整部电影营造的警匪对抗的紧张气氛更为浓厚，另有不少爆炸戏份。
