剧情梗概：
JonKatz是一名作家，他决定在家里已经有了两条狗的情况下，再收养一条并未经过任何训练的牧羊犬。自从这只牧羊犬来到家中，他就再没有过过一天安稳日子。因为饱受邻居的投诉和牧羊犬所带来的各种问题，他决定搬到郊区的一个旧农舍短暂生活，并继续写作。农舍附近的杂工见他和牧羊犬的相处存在如此大的问题，便介绍了一个有经验的养狗人给他。最终，在努力与牧羊犬培养信任的同时，他与家人的关系也在慢慢地改善剧情版本二：JonKatz是一名作家，日渐江郎才尽，因为他的不善表达，妻子离开了他投奔了姐妹。他也很少接电话。狗舍送给了他一条牧羊犬，因为狗狗长期被谩骂训练不足。尽管自己经历了一些不愉快的事，但是Jon还是决定收养狗狗，并且还租了一个破旧农舍，供狗狗有足够的空间活动。当地的杂工给Jon介绍了一个可以帮他训练狗狗的女人。虽很不情愿，但是Jon还是想试一试。究竟是狗狗的问题，还是主人的问题呢？
