剧情梗概：
在农村长大的钢蛋，由于憨厚老实，被村长派去城里，取回杨刚答应资助修复小学的五万现金，在去的大巴车上遇到了抢劫，为打抱不平于是冒充警察成功的赶走了劫匪，也成功的俘获了真正的警察路林，当误会揭开之后，路林又赶紧追赶这群已经侦查一个多月的犯罪团伙。过程中，发现自己的枪和钢蛋的玩具枪被无意调换。钢蛋进城后见到杨刚，拿到钱之后准备返回村中，路上遇到这群劫匪绑架开皮包店的老王头，弄巧成拙自己的五万现金被劫匪拿走，而钢蛋误以为老王头就是劫匪首领，于是大闹皮包店，最后与老王头之女王艳开始想办法追回这五万块钱，另一方面路林又在不停的查找钢蛋的下落！钢蛋为解救了老王头，陷入敌人圈套，辛亏路林到场在钢蛋的帮助下制服了这群笨劫匪，将这群罪犯绳之于法。钢蛋拿着赞助金返回村里，路林对他进行表彰和奖励，王艳也到了这个村子支教！
