剧情梗概：
春秋末年，军事重镇淮阴因地处水乡，成了秦始皇统一天下中沦落为亡国奴的世袭贵族们的栖身定居之所。一时间，韩国、齐国等亡国的世袭贵族在这里酒肉笙歌、苟且偷生，丝毫没有亡国的耻辱。在一群及时行乐的世袭贵族中，也有少数一些人忍辱负重，寻找复国雪耻的机会。　　其中，饱读兵书的韩信就是难能可贵的一个。韩国灭亡后，身为韩国世袭贵族的韩信沦落街头，过着食不果腹、斯文扫地的生活。尽管如此，韩信始终没有忘记自己是韩国贵族的后裔，没有忘记复国雪耻的重任。尤其是在偶遇月姬后，得到月姬帮助和怜爱的韩信更是视救国雪耻为己任。月姬同为韩国世袭贵族，得知韩信救国雪耻的伟大抱负后，月姬不惜放下世袭贵族的尊严，鬻歌卖舞于街市，为韩信支撑起活下去的信念。　　时逢乱世，能在淮阴苟延残喘地活下去都成问题，更别提希望韩信将来出人头地，风风光光地将自己娶进门、恢复其韩国贵族后裔的身份。但月姬没有这样想，而是用一个弱女子的坚韧默默地期待着那一天。这其间，韩信偶遇张良，张良眼见韩信是个难得的人才，就在月姬受到秦军非礼、意欲拔剑相向时，暗中阻止了韩信的冲动，并告诫韩信要忍辱负重，将来定有出人头地、建功立业的那一天。分别张良后的一天，韩信惜别月姬，却在淮阴街头被几个流氓恶霸所困。几欲脱身而不得时，韩信又动起了拔剑除霸的念头，但想起张良临别时的告诫和自己灭秦雪耻的理想，韩信最终隐忍不发，跪倒在恶霸流氓的面前，从恶霸的胯下爬过，算是了却一场不必要的纠缠，为日后成全大业留下一段“胯下之辱”的“笑柄”。　　从淮阴出来，一个偶然的机会，韩信杀掉一名准备回秦营报信搬兵的官人，并提着秦军官人的脑袋投奔项梁大　　营。韩信灭秦雪耻的大志和文韬武略的将才非但没有引起项羽的重视，而且还在数次合理的建议和请兵作战中遭到韩信的耻笑，惟有一个执戟郎中的卑微身份，让韩信怀才不遇地继续留在项营等待机会。项羽“破釜沉舟”，于巨鹿与秦军大将章邯决战。在数次攻城而不能迅速获胜时，项羽不顾范增和韩信接受章邯议和的建议，执意取章邯的人头为叔父报仇。为保存实力、壮大楚军，韩信和陈平用“屡有降军兵士出逃”一计，让项羽答应了章邯议和的请求。然而，为平衡项军和归降秦军的力量，项羽决定坑杀归降秦军二十万。看着项羽如此狭隘的心胸，韩信决然离开楚营，投奔汉营刘邦而去。
