剧情梗概：
随着人口的不断增长，人类实施火星地球化计划。21世纪中期开始向火星投放大量藻类和蟑螂，将火星地表染成黑色使其吸收太阳光变暖。6名宇航员搭乘载人宇宙舰BUGS1号向火星出发。目的是对蟑螂进行调查捕捉，以及调查2500年之后被送往火星上的无人机信号中断事件。可是，机组人员刚打开舱门，就立即被异化成人型的蟑螂袭击，6人全灭。在乔治临终之际，将一只蟑螂的头部成功送往地球，之后通过这种被称为火星异种的生物样本为人类开发出了新的技术。地球方面没有公开这次事件。在22年后BUGS2号登陆火星时发现还有电源。2620年，BUGS2号失败后，AE病毒在地球流行起来，U-NASA决定在病毒流行前制作出疫苗，为了培养病毒他们计划捕捉蟑螂。通过大型宇宙舰ANNEX1号来补充兵力94名，干部5名，加上舰长总计100名机组人员进入火星。
