剧情梗概：
职业杀手唐（古天乐饰）因杀人罪被捕，在狱中度过了漫长的十二载。刑满释放后的唐暗暗下定决心，要与过去划清界限，在余生里做一个好人。可是，唐曾经的好友陈雄（任达华饰）和马克斯（张智霖饰）却并不愿意就此放过他，他们希望唐能够再度出山，做掉菲律宾总统候选人。对于好友的非分之请，唐断然拒绝，可是之后，候选人还是被害身亡，不仅如此，现场遗留的证据表明，唐就是凶手，一时间，唐遭到了警方的缉捕。在女记者安妮（蔡少芬饰）的帮助下，唐开始了惊天大逃亡，与此同时，查出真凶与揭露陈雄罪行的重任亦落到了唐的肩头，唐能够洗刷自己身上的不白之冤吗？剧情版本二：东南亚菲律宾某一监狱外，十二年前因杀人而被捕的职业杀手don（古天乐）出狱。当年don在陈雄的策划下与好友max（张智霖）一起做案。被捕入狱却并没有指证二人。出狱后的don希望不再重蹈覆辙，重新做人，要我再杀人，除非给我一个理由。陈雄与max却逼他暗杀菲律宾总统候选人。don虽拒绝他们的所求，但目标人物却旋即被杀，don被带他出身的陈雄陷害，作为杀人嫌疑他要亡命天边。don一方面要应付警方的追捕，另一方面他在受命追查暗杀总统侯选人主谋的雇佣兵队长与女记者的帮助下，揭露陈雄犯罪证据，洗脱自己的罪名。
