剧情梗概：
秋名山山巅下行的漂移之战，RedSuns车队的二号人物高桥启介（中村悠一配音）驾驶着最先进的黄色RX-7急速奔驰。谁知这样一个热门夺冠人物却被一辆黑白相间且性能较差的TRUENOGT-APEX（AE86）轻易超过。行云流水华丽至极的漂移，让启介既震惊又掩饰不住内心的钦佩，这就是传说中的秋名山幽灵。很多人都想不到，AE86的驾驶者只是一个普通的18岁高中生，平日的他在加油站打工，对于汽车一点概念也无因此常被身边爱车族的友人取笑。但是私底下，拓海打从13岁时起，就被父亲藤原文太要求帮忙每天凌晨时开着车到山顶上的温泉饭店送豆腐，因此拥有非常丰富的驾驶经验。身为昔日山路赛车手的文太，刻意利用送豆腐作为理由训练儿子成为一名赛车手，他在车上的置杯架中放了一杯清水，要求拓海在不让杯中清水溢出的前提下，安然将车开上山，借此训练出拓海对于汽车重心转移与运动特性的绝佳敏锐触感。未过多久他与当初的对手高桥凉介和高桥启介组成一支县外远征车队，名为ProjectD(D计划)，一同征战关东境内群马县以外各地山路。《头文字D新剧场版》是日本漫画家重野秀一创作的漫画《头文字D》于2014年开始推出的一系列新作剧场版动画。新剧场版采用和之前的电视动画系列不同的制作及声优阵容，第一部《Legend1-觉醒-》在电视动画最终季《头文字DFinalStage》放送结束后，于2014年8月23日公映；第二部《Legend2-斗走-》则于2015年5月23日上映。
