剧情梗概：
少女凯特（莱斯利-安妮哈芙Leslie-AnneHuff饰）拥有一种神奇的能力，随便什么人，她只要看上一眼，便能知道他的死期为何时。一次偶然中，凯特遇见了名为杰森（AnthonyChaput饰）的男子，凯特发现杰森拥有能够在死后和现世交流的能力，并且，杰森的死期就在几个小时之后。一直想要知道死后世界是什么模样的凯特摆脱杰森在死后同她联络，杰森兴然应允。果然，很快杰森便死了，在临死之时，一副诡异恐怖的画面出现在了杰森的眼前。之后，凯特果然接到了杰森来自阴间的电话，根据杰森的指使，凯特需要前往香港，在那里，一位名叫达伦（陈奕迅饰）的酒保正在等她。当晚，积逊如姬蒂所料，离奇地死去。而在死前的最後一刻，积逊看到了一个诡秘恐怖的影像。数天之後，姬蒂果然接到来自「来世」的电话。惊吓之馀，她按照电话的指示，从洛杉矶到了香港，与达伦（陈奕迅饰演）相会。达伦是个酒保，拥有一个「不完整的灵魂」而深受困扰。达伦与姬蒂於是一起展开了探讨「来世」的历险旅程，更发现了积逊临死前看到的恐怖影像的真相。而最出乎他们意料的，这历险旅程最後让他们发现了关於「生命」、「死亡」、以及最重要的「爱」之真理。影片评论：从推广角度来说，首先导演或者说出品方，真的是错的一塌糊涂。首先它根本就不应该是惊悚片，这从情节设定上就应该看到，或者说就不应该试图把这个故事硬掰过去。其次既然要拍成惊悚片，也不能怪拍摄问题，本身惊悚点就明显不够，除了那个在第一次咖啡厅见面时Darren试图隐瞒的那个出现在窗口的黏糊糊的白色的东西之外，对不起我完全找不到任何其他的惊悚点了。结果这个居然也不是惊悚点，反而是温情戏的伏笔。以前看《异能》的时候，中国的那群超能力者怎么看怎么煞笔，哼哈二将撑大嘴就是凶残，李小璐烟熏妆歪嘴笑就是腹黑，那么多年演艺圈白混了，还不如范宁那若隐若现的风骚。（扯哪儿去了，我们回来）结果出乎意料，他居然是电影里最大的亮点，整个气质在片中不突兀不幼稚还很有自己的味道，演技也不流于表面，而且还有种leader的感觉，可能其他的演员们我一个都不认识所以觉得他们气势很弱吧~要从电影引申义神马的去分析的话，告诉我们要趁悬崖味道草莓尚甜珍惜眼前也是可以说通的，但是从影片整体来看似乎有一丝牵强，作为悬疑片，片子的确是作到了铺垫伏笔揭晓，但是身为诺兰迷的本人实在是无法忽略掉片子里面埋下的重重疑问到最后却不给解答的事实。这时候，eason登场了！原来炮灰男果真死翘翘了，验证了女主完杀光环的强大。而eason和炮灰男，还有一个法国女是三人共享一个灵魂，也就是分享各自的所见所闻。炮灰男被预言了死亡的事情，其他两人也知道了。这里是影片玩的又一个噱头hive思维。但是影片没有继续把这个细节发扬光大，而是交替穿插讲述女主小时候预言自己父亲死亡的事情和三剑客（也就是eason，炮灰男，法国女）是怎样聚首的。
