剧情梗概：
两个在学校认识的伊朗女孩。一个女孩寄居在叔叔家，因为不支持伊朗革命政府的父母已被处决，另一个女孩出身富裕的伊朗中产阶级家庭，有着民主的知识分子的父母。两个具有灵性且追求自由的女孩在伊斯兰高压的社会环境下相处中从朋友到渐渐在彼此的心灵还有肉体中触摸同性的爱情。富裕家庭女孩有一个哥哥，原本有这音乐天赋的哥哥在失去生命平衡的迷失中开始犹如寄居蟹般返回伊斯兰教的寺庙---放弃自由从而希望获得心灵的蒙蔽的安宁。日渐保守传统的哥哥爱上了妹妹的朋友也是妹妹的秘密爱人，用小小的谋略愿以偿和失去父母的孤女结婚。婚后，妹妹还有新婚的兄妻依然旧情难断。然而这一切都记录在哥哥布置下的监视摄像镜头里。结尾妹妹离开了伊朗。剧情版本二：影片讲述的故事发生在一个富足的伊朗家庭，家中有一对正值青春期并且十分叛逆的姐妹，还有一个饱受精神困扰的哥哥。面对如此复杂的情况，家中的长辈们试图采取措施引到孩子走上他们所认为的正途。
