Ignoring the objections of his colleagues, Dr. Selander allows Meisner to cure his blind daughter, Maria, who not only regains her sight, but also falls in love with the charismatic magnetist. Dark secrets and repressed memories start to emerge, amidst the love between father and daughter, man and woman.




The fifth winter of the magician is a plot, love film. In a small town in northern Sweden in the winter of 1820, the mysterious magician Mesner wanted to get the trust of Dr. Serand, the doctor. Does the magician really have magical power? Or is he a clever liar? Maybe both, or more: a person who searches everywhere is tired of his struggle and starts to find love and rest, but if the patient is not cured by drugs, is the truth more important than cure?
