Hosted by tolerant and relaxed Flora, various parties of middle-class people come in -- large and small, young and old, regulars and tourists, married and single -- to dine, converse, argue, celebrate, make confessions; to overhear other people's discussions, to interrupt them, to sing, listen to music, and enjoy life. The camera, just like the people, moves constantly from table to table, into the kitchen and the back room to observe the staff's petty jealousies and frustrations -- until two hours later it's time for everybody to go home.




The dinner is a plot, comedy, in a Roman restaurant, the people who dinner here. A father invited children who hadn't met for a long time, but they kept quarreling. A Japanese family was taking pictures. A director was instructing an actor. A young man with a psychological illness, a teacher who was pursued by female students, Mother who does not accept his daughter's religious tendency. Professor Gasmann walked from one table to another, stringing the clue of the story, and another person who observed people's lives was the owner of the restaurant, Antante. She was a perfect woman. Her restaurant gave up a mysterious love. An evening at an Italian restaurant. Hosted by tolerant and relaxed Flora, various parties of middle-class people come in -- large and small, young and old, regulars and tourists, married and single -- to dine, converse, argue, celebrate , make confessions; to overhear other people's discussions, to interrupt them, to sing, listen to music, and enjoy life.
